Time Is A Scarce Resource

It's perhaps the most precious resource we have, yet the one we often value least.

Every day, billions of hours are being spent online, but are we, as designers, really giving our visitors their time's worth? Do we value every precious second they invest in our sites, or are we designing wasteful experiences that aren't really worth the time they take up? Could we provide a more valuable, yet less costly, experience if we did it in less time?

It's Time To Talk

Tick Talk is a fictional conference being held in the Waterfront Hall, Belfast, on 10th June 2010. It's aim is to raise awareness of the responsibility we as web designers have to use others' time wisely, and to kick-start the discussion on how we can go about doing this.

Speakers

    "Rationing Facebook"
